My Movies Pro - Movie & TV App Reviews

My major complaint about this app is that is not customizable for the home user. It would be better if you could customize the icons for your series, through the Internet or camera. I would like it more if you could add the first aired date to the filters. Although I like having an index of the episodes, I wish you could change the order of the details. It would be nice if you had the episode description so you didnt have to scroll down to look at it. It also has a lot of features more designed for dealers and traders rather then for the home library. With some minor corrections this has the potential to be an awesome app but its not there yet.

Simple and easy to use.

There are an immense amount of perks to getting the complete, full version of this app if youre a movie collector. Everything runs smooth, bar code scanner is super convenient. Helps alphabetize and keep them all organized! Even when it comes to loaning out your movies, which we all fear to do haha. All around outstanding app if youre a collector.

This program has really helped me make my collection more easy to manage

I love it to have all your movies Catalog and organize. So all I need to do is look at this Application and find the movie I would like to Watch.

This is an absolutely perfect app for keeping a movie database. I have a collection of almost 400 movies, so sometimes its hard to remember if I own a certain movie or not. Thanks to this app I dont have to worry about that any longer. Adding a movie to your database is as easy as scanning the barcode and hitting the Add button or searching for the title and selecting the version you own. This app also has a wonderfully clean interface that lets you filter and organize your collection as you see fit. You can search through your own titles to find exactly what your looking for, and you can place tons of different tags on each of your movies like its condition, location, or whether or not you lent it out. Tapping on a movie gives you all kinds of information on that film such as director and cast, and you can even watch the trailer for that movie when applicable right in the app. I have tried plenty of apps for keeping track of the stuff I have, and this one is bar-none my absolute favorite. I highly recommend this to anyone who collects movies or wants to.

Tried out a few and this app seems to be the best.

Currently, when you categorize movies, you can only add any given movie to one group. For instance, if Ive watched a movie and want to buy it in the future, I should be able to add it to my "seen" list and "wish" list. Just as a movie can be considered several different genres ("The Departed," is categorized as crime, drama, and thriller), a movie can fall into different groups when categorizing it for inventory purposes. I suggested that users should be given the option to organize their movies into more than one group. Brian Binnerup responded to me in two separate emails and told me to request a refund because the developers only do updates that are worth their time/money based on large volumes of requests and dont take individual suggestions into consideration. If you want an app thats remedial and you dont mind dealing with developers who dont value value customer feedback/suggestions and respond in a condescending, dismissive and inflexible manner... Then it looks like you found the perfect, over-priced app.

Best app Ive ever used to categorize my collection!

Ive been using this app for a couple years now and its fantastic. Very useful.

Great buy for my movie organization

Get the "Movist" app. It offers more options for categorizing, its FREE, the developers are a joy to interact with (unlike Brian Binnerup with this app; very rude, unhelpful and condescending when you try to make a suggestion to improve the app) and the interface is much cleaner. This app is a complete waste of money. Im also inclined to think most of the 5-star reviews are fraudulent since theyre all written in a similar fashion and within days of one another.

Ive tried many programs for my collection, and Ive never stuck to them because there was always some issue (took too long to add titles, limited media categories, etc) especially for mobile devices. This program works. There are tweaks that could improve it (fine tuning some of the personal inventory options) but it is very easy to use, respond quickly when you submit missing titles and works seamlessly across more than one device. Plus now you can view you collection on the Apple TV!

Awesome how it syncs with my mac book and keeps track of who I loan movies out too!

So far it has worked well but is not separating movies from shows but if that is biggest issue Im happy.

I own a lot of movies and I think I have tried every program until I found this one!! If you have a nice collection then you want this app!!
